Dr. Gabriela Simon-Cereijido is an Assistant Professor at California State University Los Angeles. She has worked as a bilingual speech-language pathologist and is interested in assessment and intervention with bilingual children with language impairment. Her research focuses on the grammatical abilities of children with and without specific language impairment who speak Spanish and English. She is interested in the ways in patterns of language impairment across languages. She is particularly interested in the development of English as a second language in children with and without language disorders, in order to improve the clinical assessment, treatment, and general instruction of English Language Learners with special needs.
